Summary: [troff] `fzoom` should not accept a mounting position or abstract font name as argument Group: GNU roff Submitter: gbranden Submitted: Wed 02 Aug 2023 03:20:27 PM UTC Category: Core Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Warning/Suspicious behaviour Status: Confirmed Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed 02 Aug 2023 03:20:27 PM UTC By: G. Branden Robinson <gbranden> The formatter behaves unpredictably and weirdly if `fzoom` is given a mounting position or abstract font name as its first argument. $ cat EXPERIMENTS/fzoom-position.groff.fam T .fzoom 1 500 \" or s/1/R/ Times, .fam H .fzoom HR 900 Helvetica, .fam P .fzoom PR 1200 Palatino, .fzoom CR 1100 and \f[CR]Courier\f[]. .fam T Times again. .br \F[T]FONT \F[H]FONT \F[P]FONT \F[C]FONT Take out the first line to observe well-behaved formatting. The request should reject such attempts with an error diagnostic, and do nothing. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?64505> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
