Summary: grohtml: \- mapped to something different than ASCII 45 (Latin hyphen-minus) Project: GNU troff Submitted by: None Submitted on: Tue 25 Jan 2022 12:28:15 PM UTC Category: Preprocessor html Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Incorrect behaviour Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Original report in the mailing list: <https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/groff/2022-01/msg00018.html> '-' is mapped by grohtml to '-', which is then represented by web browsers as a Latin hyphen-minus, but manual pages normally want a hyphen in this case. So the mapping should be &hyphen. '\-' is mapped by grohtml to '&minus', which is then represented by web browsers as some UTF-8 symbol, but manual pages always want a Latin hyphen-minus in this case. Se the mapping should be '-'. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?61917> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
