Thanks, Dave! And to further clarify the record, Werner's observation about a
new autoconf macro was back in November, and it was Bjarni, a few days ago,
who pointed out that that Ghostscript 9.54 (with the bugfix) had been
released.
If I'd had that bug number handy when commenting, my memory might have made
less of a hash of things. :)
