"RPM" and "APT" are correct, they name the packaging systems. I think
you'll find that they are widely recognized by readers.

If you still don't agree, then I suggest: "The package systems of most
GNU/Linux distributions."

Either way, Red Hat is not even an (extant) distribution, and neither Red
Hat nor Debian is (or was) a package system.
