I've also uploaded the snapshot to Debian. Incidentally, there have been requests within debian to ship git-merge-changelog in a separate package, and patches to do so have been contributed. After this version of the package has migrated to the 'testing' distribution, I'll do another upload with the git-merge-changelog package enabled.
