Libvirt would like to use the nproc module to determine the number of available processors. This module is currently LGPLv3+, but libvirt would require LGPLv2+; it can be argued that since sysconf(_SC_NPROCESSORS_CONF) is provided by glibc (LGPLv2+), the real value in this module is merely in providing portability to a variety of platforms, rather than providing an algorithm that should be limited to newer libraries. I'm fine with my lone contribution being relicensed as LGPLv2+; I'm cc'ing all other contributors:
