I confirm that with MacOS X /usr/bin/sed, MODULES.html.sh spews error messages from 'sed' (with or without Paul's patch), whereas with GNU sed, MODULES.html.sh works fine (with or without Paul's patch). > I've now bisected this bug It is not a bug in gnulib. GNU sed is listed as a dependency of gnulib in the DEPENDENCIES file: * GNU sed. + Recommended. Needed on platforms where the vendor's 'sed' program is too buggy. + Homepage: http://www.gnu.org/software/sed/ + Download: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/sed/ ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/sed/ Bruno -- In memoriam Stefano Peluffo <http://www.marxists.org/history/international/comintern/sections/italy/1944/partisans.htm>
