Note that gnulib version e5573b1bad88bfabcda181b9e0125fb0c52b7d3b is from
2007-12-20, whereas findutils-4.4.2 was released on 2009-06-06. Nowadays,
if you fear to pick up instabilities when upgrading to newer gnulib versions,
you can mitigate this risk by using the stable snapshots that Ian Beckwith
publishes for us at
  http://erislabs.net/ianb/projects/gnulib/
