Does your system have any replacement that can be used to change the size
of the file referenced by an existing file descriptor?  If so, what?  If
you want support your system, the best thing to do would be adding a port
to gnulib of an ftruncate replacement that works for you.

It is considered poor netiquette to send email to publicly archived
