Karl, Is there any reason your autoupdates to the build-aux directory remove executable permissions? For example:
http://git.sv.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gnulib.git;a=commitdiff;h=9dd135f converted gendocs.sh. I just re-added execute permissions, but want to make sure this doesn't become a perpetual problem. -- Eric Blake
