I will replace the symlink with the file and commit it into my cvs, but this episode made me wonder 1. should I always invoke automake with --add-missing? 2. will automake notice that it has a newer version of something for build-aux and tell me or do I need to check that myself every once in a while? is there something like gnulib-update for build-aux? thanks.
