I'm resurrecting a Sparc 10 using SunOS 4.1.3. suffice it to say that I have a
reason to stick with 4.1.3. Alas, i need NeWSprint to feed fonts to the
SPARCprinter. I no longer have the password to use the fonts I apparently own
by virtue of having the rtu for NeWSprint and the Sun license lady has gone
away. It has been suggested that I use ghostscript instead.

Sounds good to me.

So the question is, given a SunOS patched up to 2000, which rev of ghostscript
is most likely to compile using the 4.1.3 C compiler? I did see a reference to
gs 2.(?) compiling without a struggle.

or does it make more sense to install a gnu C compiler and if so which one?
