Please wait until GPL Ghostscript 9.0 (or 9.0.x) is usable.
Currently it
* breaks GNU gv on some documents (broken by commit 11619 - clearly
before release of 9.0; cherry-picking commit 11808 helps).
* breaks printing, e. g. see
http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691733
so IMHO GPL ghostscript 9.0 is currently unusable (I have noticed both
problems on my system).
Ideas how to repair ghostscript 9.0 are welcome, but not expected :-)
