To Whom It May Concern, I am experiencing an issue with regard to font types within GNU Ghostscript. I am using a Hyperion reporting tool which converts financial reports directly into PDF format via an export function (the PDF exports as a GNU Ghostscript PDF as opposed to an Adobe PDF). While I have selected common Microsoft fonts in the Hyperion report, (such as Arial) once it exports into a PDF format the font type becomes TTE102CE78T00. As a result, I am attempting to use the 'edit ' version of Adobe PDF to make changes to this file. However, since this font is unrecognizable in Adobe PDF I am unable to make changes. I incorporate these reports into senior leadership finance presentation and rely on the ability to make changes in PDF. However, the initial PDF is created via GNU Ghostscript and contains a font which is unrecognizable by Adobe edit PDF which restricts my ability to make any changes.
Is there any way around this font conversion? Is there any setting in Ghostscript that will maintain the font as Arial without converting to this unidentifiable font? Or is there a way that I can update my PDF font types so that it can recognize and update the TTE102CE78T00 font Ghostscript generates? I have been in contact with my systems area, Adobe, and Hyperion in effort to resolve or find a work around. Please advise of my options at this point. I appreciate any assistance or insight you can provide.
