Follow-up Comment #1, bug #45305 (project gettext):
Thanks for the patch. It looks good to me, while I would like to merge
itstool features to xgettext in the long run, so external tools (appstream
here) could provide and maintain extraction rules by themselves.
By the way, as gettext is an FSF-copyrighted package, we would need a
copyright assignment to apply the patch. Is this still something you are
interested in pursuing? If so, let me know off-list.
