Summary: configure scripts use wrong linking flags when MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.10 Project: GNU gettext Submitted by: larryv Submitted on: Fri 31 Oct 2014 10:43:11 PM EDT Category: None Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: When run in an OS X environment containing MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.10, gettext's configure scripts incorrectly select "-flat_namespace -undefined suppress" for linking, instead of "-undefined dynamic_lookup. (See https://trac.macports.org/ticket/45715.) We've patched gettext in MacPorts (https://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/devel/gettext/files/yosemite-libtool-twolevelns.patch?rev=127662), so you could fix the relevant Libtool macros in an analogous way. Since the causative bug in Libtool 2.4.2 and earlier has been fixed in 2.4.3, you could also regenerate your build files using 2.4.3. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri 31 Oct 2014 10:43:11 PM EDT Name: yosemite-libtool-twolevelns.patch Size: 2kB By: larryv MacPorts' patch to gettext <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=32350> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?43512> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
