bug#54519: YES

Hello !
 
I try to use GNU «yes» on Suse Linux...but it not WORK, as I think…
 
I use such variants:
 
yes | zypper up;
 
yes y | zypper up;
 
yes 'y' | zypper up;
 
ALL variants DID not work …
 
Why such problems with yes ?
