I'm not sure I spot what you think is the bug. Everything in your trace looked like expected behavior. I'm guessing that maybe you were thrown off by this part of the output? > xpu...@amdxp2100:/mnt/160G-1$ du -sH * Documents\ and\ Settings/ > du: WARNING: use --si, not -H; the meaning of the -H option will soon > change to be the same as that of --dereference-args (-D) That warning was in place to warn of a future change in behavior. The change has now been completed, and you will not get that warning in coreutils 7.1. But if I guessed wrong, then you will have to be more explicit on how what you posted shows a bug (that is, give us more details on what actually happened vs. what you expected to happen). > > xpu...@amdxp2100:/mnt/160G-1$ du --v > du (GNU coreutils) 6.10 Your trace has earmarks of being a cygwin 1.5.x installation. You may be interested in upgrading to cygwin 1.7.0, where a newer pre-built coreutils version is available. However, details about cygwin installation are better discussed on the cygwin AT cygwin DOT com mailing list. - -- Don't work too hard, make some time for fun as well!
