So on this system `timeout 4294967296 sleep 0` is invalid but `timeout 49711d sleep 0` is OK? The apply_time_suffix() function should be returning an error for the latter case but is not. I can't see the problem by inspection, so I need help from someone with a 64 bit system. I also noticed a couple of other problems in those parameter tests, fixes for which are attached. cheers, Pádraig.
