Is there a solution for this yet? I'm using the retail version of Interix 5.2 (2006-01-06) and get the same problem in configure for coreutils-5.93. I applied the patch suggested in the above links and configure can continue. Now it exits at this: configure line:46600 => ... checking for getloadavg in -lgetloadavg... no Windows NT Exception (core dumped) checking for getloadavg... ./configure: : bad substitution $ CC=cc (Interix cc targetting MS compiler 13.10.4035) getloadavg is not in the Interix SDK or anywhere as a command. However I exchanged the Interix supplied BSD make with GNU make and getloadavg is used in GNU make.
