Thank you for the fix.

For tracking purposes, could you please clarify whether this issue
will be assigned a CVE identifier?

Since the bug allows a malformed ELF file to reliably trigger a
SIGABRT in readelf when processing untrusted input, I would like
to understand whether it will be treated as a security issue
or as a robustness bug.
