Dear gas-ers,
the riscv .insn directive is quite handy, but given the complexity of
the compressed instruction set, there is one missing format that could
usefully be added in gas.
Indeed, the CB format (as described in the Table 37. Compressed 16-bit
RVC instruction formats) hides two different formats (as can be seen in
Figure 4. Instruction listing for RVC, Quadrant 1, of the riscv
unpriviledged spec).
Bit 12 can be either a constant, as implemented in gas, or the
upper bit of an immediat, and there is currently no way to support
that in the .insn directive.
This clearly not an urgent matter, and is probably useful for at best
a handful of people, ...
