------- Additional Comments From vapier at gentoo dot org 2010-03-11 18:21 ------- if the assembler ran on the embedded target, this may make sense, but i doubt these limitations are ever going to crop up on todays desktop systems (where the assembler is running). i'd bet there are plenty of places in binutils where much larger buffers are on the stack.
