The man page for ld(1) contains a factual error. The description of the options
--allow-shlib-undefined/--no-allow-shlib-undefined states that the default is
--allow-shlib-undefined, but that is the default only when ld is creating a
shared library. When ld is creating an executable, the default is
--no-allow-shlib-undefined.
