Thanks for the report. The tab-insert command is documented, but the other
two are not. They're not particularly well-used, but they should be in
there.

Most of the code to do that already exists, if you'd like to take a shot
at it.

There is a discussion happening right now about which emacs-mode commands
should set the mark, and where it should be set, which I think is more
important.

and it will be great to have some variant of erasedups HISTCONTROL
variable option which allow to make erasing at shell exit but not right
here and right now as it unpredictable shuffle history item numbers.

You can do that now (after shell exit) using one of the readline examples:
hist_erasedups.c. It works on a history file.
