Average users cannot find out how to do https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/800493/how-to-set-a-bind-v-variable-from-the-bash-command-line-not-inputrc/ by reading $ help bind thus `help bind` should have such an example added.
The help text is not identical to the documentation. Why is the user not
looking in the documentation (man page or info document) for `bind' to
discover how to do this?
Since the existing help text says
"The non-option argument syntax is equivalent to
that found in ~/.inputrc, but must be passed as a single argument"
why should we not expect that a user can deduce how to do it from this
and the description of the readline command syntax?
