1.  s/Note that//
2.  Set literals in bold (usually).
3.  Don't set non-literals in bold (usually).
4.  If you mean a hyphen-minus (and you do for this literal example of a
    glob expression), use `\-`, not `-`.  Debian systems make this
    problem invisible, but Bash gets installed on systems that are not
    Debian systems.[1]
5.  I would favor "value" over "setting".  Environment variables have
    "values".
