I've already submited a PR at
https://github.com/gitGNU/gnu_bash/pulls but I'm not sure that's the
right place. Therefore I'm submitting this bug report to ensure it gets
looked at (there are some old pull requests from 2021 at that github
location). This is for a simple doc addition to the wait manpage, which
adds the text:
When bash is waiting for an asynchronous command via the
wait builtin,
the reception of a signal for which a trap has been set
will cause
the wait builtin to return immediately with an exit status
greater
than 128, immediately after which the trap is executed.
taken directly from the SIGNALS area of the bash man page. I don't see
why this should be omitted from the wait documentation. If it's
undesirable to copy this text here, perhaps at least the wait doc could
direct users to read the SIGNALS section.
