Because of how old this bug is, and since I can't attempt to reproduce it
myself, I'm going to close it on the assumption that it's been fixed *somehow*
by now.
Please feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce it with the current
autoconf development trunk and current versions of cygwin, automake, and GNU
Make. Step-by-step instructions for reproducing the problem, *starting from a
fresh installation of some specific version of Windows with no toolchain
whatsoever*, would be appreciated.
