Hi, I was compiling the Autoconf suite last night and left it run this morning the following errors were discovered.
BTW..I was reading the how to hack with the GNU and downloaded the latest according the the latest autoconf..so that was my thinking, however if this version (newer) still has proven to be buggy, should I just choose another version? I am using a 10.x kernel in KDE. 3ja...@gmail.com ~jason rupright ###################### ## ----------------------------- ## ## GNU Autoconf 2.54 test suite. ## ## ----------------------------- ## Executables (autoheader, autoupdate...). 1: tools.at:47 ok 2: tools.at:92 ok 3: tools.at:122 FAILED near `tools.at:149' 4: tools.at:211 ok 5: tools.at:242 ok 6: tools.at:270 ok 7: tools.at:316 ok 8: tools.at:364 ok 9: tools.at:482 ok 10: tools.at:516 ok 11: tools.at:543 ok M4sugar. 12: m4sugar.at:35 ok 13: m4sugar.at:79 FAILED near `m4sugar.at:114' 14: m4sugar.at:122 ok M4sh. 15: m4sh.at:29 ok 16: m4sh.at:105 ok 17: m4sh.at:166 ok 18: m4sh.at:223 ok 19: m4sh.at:256 ok Autoconf base layer. 20: base.at:29 ok 21: base.at:71 ok 22: base.at:115 ok 23: base.at:158 ok 24: base.at:190 ok 25: base.at:209 ok Testing config.status. 26: torture.at:28 ok 27: torture.at:37 ok 28: torture.at:81 ok 29: torture.at:123 ok 30: torture.at:207 ok 31: torture.at:238 ok 32: torture.at:275 ok 33: torture.at:369 ok 34: torture.at:478 ok 35: torture.at:518 ok 36: torture.at:554 FAILED near `torture.at:611' Low level compiling/preprocessing macros. 37: compile.at:32 ok 38: compile.at:78 ok 39: compile.at:114 ok 40: compile.at:147 ok Testing autoconf/lang macros. 41: aclang.at:7 ok 42: aclang.at:8 ok 43: aclang.at:11 ok C low level compiling/preprocessing macros. 44: c.at:35 ok 45: c.at:59 ok 46: c.at:78 ok 47: c.at:96 ok 48: c.at:111 ok 49: c.at:141 ok 50: c.at:178 ok Testing autoconf/c macros. 51: acc.at:7 ok 52: acc.at:8 ok 53: acc.at:9 ok 54: acc.at:10 ok 55: acc.at:11 ok 56: acc.at:12 ok 57: acc.at:13 ok 58: acc.at:16 ok 59: acc.at:17 ok Fortran low level compiling/preprocessing macros. 60: fortran.at:33 ok (skipped near `fortran.at:33') Testing autoconf/fortran macros. 61: acfortran.at:7 ok (skipped near `acfortran.at:7') 62: acfortran.at:8 ok (skipped near `acfortran.at:8') 63: acfortran.at:9 ok (skipped near `acfortran.at:9') 64: acfortran.at:12 ok Semantics. 65: semantics.at:34 ok 66: semantics.at:80 ok 67: semantics.at:93 ok 68: semantics.at:106 ok 69: semantics.at:136 ok 70: semantics.at:148 ok 71: semantics.at:160 ok 72: semantics.at:176 ok 73: semantics.at:198 ok 74: semantics.at:212 ok 75: semantics.at:248 ok 76: semantics.at:291 ok 77: semantics.at:340 ok 78: semantics.at:378 ok 79: semantics.at:422 ok 80: semantics.at:440 ok 81: semantics.at:441 ok Testing autoconf/general macros. 82: acgeneral.at:7 ok 83: acgeneral.at:8 ok 84: acgeneral.at:9 ok 85: acgeneral.at:10 ok 86: acgeneral.at:11 ok 87: acgeneral.at:12 ok 88: acgeneral.at:13 ok 89: acgeneral.at:16 ok 90: acgeneral.at:17 ok 91: acgeneral.at:18 ok 92: acgeneral.at:19 ok 93: acgeneral.at:20 ok Testing autoconf/status macros. 94: acstatus.at:9 ok Testing autoconf/specific macros. 95: acspecific.at:7 ok 96: acspecific.at:8 ok 97: acspecific.at:9 ok 98: acspecific.at:10 ok 99: acspecific.at:11 ok 100: acspecific.at:12 ok 101: acspecific.at:13 ok 102: acspecific.at:14 ok 103: acspecific.at:17 ok 104: acspecific.at:18 ok 105: acspecific.at:19 ok 106: acspecific.at:20 ok 107: acspecific.at:21 ok 108: acspecific.at:22 ok Testing autoconf/programs macros. 109: acprograms.at:7 ok 110: acprograms.at:8 ok 111: acprograms.at:9 ok 112: acprograms.at:10 ok 113: acprograms.at:11 ok 114: acprograms.at:12 ok 115: acprograms.at:13 ok 116: acprograms.at:14 ok 117: acprograms.at:17 ok 118: acprograms.at:18 ok 119: acprograms.at:19 ok Testing autoconf/headers macros. 120: acheaders.at:7 ok 121: acheaders.at:8 ok 122: acheaders.at:9 ok 123: acheaders.at:12 ok 124: acheaders.at:13 ok 125: acheaders.at:14 ok 126: acheaders.at:15 ok Testing autoconf/types macros. 127: actypes.at:7 ok 128: actypes.at:8 ok 129: actypes.at:9 ok 130: actypes.at:10 ok 131: actypes.at:11 ok 132: actypes.at:14 ok 133: actypes.at:15 ok 134: actypes.at:16 ok 135: actypes.at:17 ok 136: actypes.at:18 ok Testing autoconf/functions macros. 137: acfunctions.at:7 ok 138: acfunctions.at:8 ok 139: acfunctions.at:9 ok 140: acfunctions.at:10 ok 141: acfunctions.at:11 ok 142: acfunctions.at:12 ok 143: acfunctions.at:13 ok 144: acfunctions.at:14 ok 145: acfunctions.at:15 ok 146: acfunctions.at:16 ok 147: acfunctions.at:17 ok 148: acfunctions.at:18 ok 149: acfunctions.at:19 ok 150: acfunctions.at:20 ok 151: acfunctions.at:21 ok 152: acfunctions.at:22 ok 153: acfunctions.at:23 ok 154: acfunctions.at:24 ok 155: acfunctions.at:25 ok 156: acfunctions.at:26 ok 157: acfunctions.at:27 ok 158: acfunctions.at:28 ok 159: acfunctions.at:29 ok 160: acfunctions.at:30 ok 161: acfunctions.at:31 ok 162: acfunctions.at:32 ok Testing autoconf/libs macros. 163: aclibs.at:9 ok Compatibility with other tools. 164: foreign.at:27 FAILED near `foreign.at:59' ## ------------------------------------------------- ## ## ERROR: Suite unsuccessful, 4 of 164 tests failed. ## ## ------------------------------------------------- ## You may investigate any problem if you feel able to do so, in which case the test suite provides a good starting point.
