This is a known regression, fixed here: http://git.sv.gnu.org/cgit/autoconf.git/commit/?id=83ee5bc4 I hope to release autoconf 2.66 before the end of this month, when I have more free time (right now, I am in the middle of changing jobs). -- Don't work too hard, make some time for fun as well!
