Yes, exactly that change. I've been running essentially the same fix for several days as an advice on TeX-find-macro-boundaries, calling (syntax-propertize lower-bound) just before the narrowing, which is the same operation at the same point. With it in place the warning is gone in normal editing, and I can no longer trigger it with the two-window reproduction either. So the patch works for me. One observation I'll mention for completeness. I occasionally see brief highlighting oddities after pasting large blocks of text into the buffer. As far as I can tell they are the usual contextual refontification lag after a big single edit and are independent of this change: they don't appear connected to it, and they resolve on their own after a while. I haven't pinned down the exact sequence. If I find that it looks connected to the syntax-propertize call, I'll follow up. Thanks also for the package-initialize/package-activate tip for leaner reproductions. _______________________________________________ bug-auctex mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-auctex
