Oh my! FWIW in 1955 I emigrated from the UK to Canada. My first job was as a clerk with Underwood Typewriter. But during my lunch 1/2 hour I had to learn how to use an Olivetti Underwood Sundstrand adding machine. In order to add up a pile of invoices….. look at the invoice for the amount which I would “blindly” punch into the adding machine.
