*If the file cannot be created for some reason then you can edit it
manually like above
(possibly adjusting some of the values above. ./configure should

This can happen with newer gcc versions. I have filed a bug with the
gcc guys earlier
this year but no solution yet.

for how to fix this.

This looks to me like a Fedora dependency problem. GNU APL does not
use libinfo.
