Thanks for expressing your opinion. That situation is very
unfortunate, though. Is there any place where language experts could
discuss their concerns and resolve any conflicting opinions? I'm aware
that at least some authors of ISO standard are not among the living
any more, so they can't explain their intentions. Also, if the
standard body, i.e. committee is not functional any longer, then
language effectively does not exist as a whole unless some other
entity would come forward to establish a new standard interpretation.
