Appears that both the libapl and parallel compilation are ok now. Thanks! I am beginning to scale out some problems. Will have to (either) automatically parallel, or do it manually. Just beginning to work in that space. So far, you are right (just a slight benefit), but I haven't yet had any lock-ups. FredW
