The power option simply calls GNOME Session Shutdown https://github.com/solus-project/budgie- desktop/blob/master/src/applets/user- indicator/UserIndicatorWindow.vala#L342
Since this works for most people - the issue must be more underlying - so whatever GNOME Session calls - probably SystemD or the linux kernel. As such please report the problem in the first instance against the kernel - please note the above in your query. Run in a terminal: ubuntu-bug linux This will report properly with details of your system. ** Changed in: ubuntubudgie Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of ubuntu budgie bug busters, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Budgie. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1939425 Title: Power button does nothing after running initial update Status in Ubuntu Budgie: Invalid Bug description: The iso image and fresh install of Ubuntu Budgie power button does work (either for shutting down or sleeping) but after updates are applied this no longer works. even if the user selects to power down after pressing the power button (under the power options), this no longer works.
