I quick-scanned the archive didn't find the situation I describe in the
folllowing. If there are answers already given, please point me to
them.

First: I loosely use BSDRP, typically on APUs since some Time. Recent
hardware-developement gave me some Ideas, I'm currently struggeling to
implement.

At the Moment I try to find the way to use 1 rouer-HW and break it
down to multiple 'real routers' (topology reasons).

Hardware are Supermicro M11SDV-8C-LN4F (8C Epyc 3251) + quad-Port
Chelsio T5, providing me with 4 GE + 4 10 GE Interfaces (frontside,
btw, if sbdy is looking for such appliance cases, supermicro example:
https://www.supermicro.com/en/Aplus/system/Embedded/AS-5019D-FTN4.cfm)

OK, My problem(s):

what is the suggested way to operate multiple BSDRP-Instances on one
such Hardware? jails? Currently I try to use bhyve, but I fail to
hand-of single Port of the chelsio-card to the vm (even though they
visible as single pci-devices).

like:
t5iov0@pci0:4:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00001425 chip=0x500e1425
t5iov1@pci0:4:0:1: class=0x020000 card=0x00001425 chip=0x500e1425
t5iov2@pci0:4:0:2: class=0x020000 card=0x00001425 chip=0x500e1425
t5iov3@pci0:4:0:3: class=0x020000 card=0x00001425 chip=0x500e1425
t5nex0@pci0:4:0:4: class=0x020000 card=0x00001425 chip=0x540e1425

I had success in handig over a integrated Intel GBe (the motherboard
has 4) by listing it in pptdevs, but no luck with the chelsio-device

Am I overthinking that, Ist there sole more pracatical way to approach
the Idea?

Rationale: I want to construct one borderrouter, as well as an Internal
Core/Edge router, as the Border need only 2 Physical Interfaces, giving
me 2 more 10 GE for Internal stuff (as well as 4 x GE too). I simply
went for 64 Gig of Ram, which should be plenty for 2 routers.

    Clemens.
