After a few logs and patches tried, Dave has found and fixed the problem with control characters on the Mac. If those using Macs and having this problem update your tree from git and recompile and install, you should now be able to use the braille keyboard to enter control characters. If you still find problems, though, please post to the list. So nice not to have to shift back and forth. I can't tell you how often I've had to erase xsxc from documents because I forgot and tried to do that in emacs with the braille keyboard! I'm very delighted!
