Just exactly what do you want to do? If all you want to do is download and update from the repository for brltty, those instructions are on the brltty.com website and they are no different for mac than for linux as far as I know if you are using terminal. If yu want to do things from the development end - submit and make changes, etc. - I can't help you much with that. If you are asking if there is a git for the Mac that doesn't use terminal, that I also admit I don't know. As for git for use in terminal, that either comes with Mac OS or, more likely, is part of Xcode. I do know I didn't have to install it from macports.
