Hi Dave,

I like this idea to individualize tunes. For instance, while I need tunes when I press routine cursors, I do not when I make the braille window scroll, or when I use tracking cursor, or so on. So, yes, I think it's a good idea.

We could gather tunes in categories, such as: window movement, cursor, status tunes.

What do you think of this?

Right now, there's a single preference setting to enable/disable all of the
alert tunes. Is this adequate, or would any of you like to be able to enable
some tunes while disabling others? If such a feature were addecd, would it be
better to be able to enable/disable each of the (about) 20 tunes individually
or should they be grouped in some way? If they should be grouped, how? For a
list of them, see the Programs/alert.h header.
