Note that I really did spell "English" right this time! Bah humbug on me!

Anyway, when "hof" appears in the middle of a word there are a few instances where it is not handled properly. If it's preceded by a g or an st or a t the h in hof generally should not participate in a contraction. Attached is a patch that fixes at least some of these errors.
