It seems on a reboot, it changed to 0, the logs even confirm this as soon 
as I pluged it in today at 7:37 PM: here is a quick grep's output.

Apr 30 19:37:03 debian-compaq kernel: usb 1-1: ch341-uart converter now 
attached to ttyUSB0

Indeed, although I used a combination of tail and used quotes surrounding 
the string which weren't required.
