Hi, Ok I am going to dual boot windows and linux. Once I know how to use linux properly I will remove windows.
Anyway what do I need to do to partition a hard disk for linux? I want to dual boot windows vista and linux. What is required to setup a dual booting system? Is there any chance of breaking something? Will my system always be bootable? And how hard is it to get it working. I have some guys that are happy to help me on irc but just trying to get as much info as I can. What distro should I use? I was thinking debian or fedora. I tried the ubuntu livecd but don't think I need a gui. Like for example most programs I would use would probably be command line ones. So is debian a good choice? How hard is it to patch speakup in to the debian kernal? And how hard is it to dual boot debian with windows? And what would I need to do to get brltty working with debian? BTW Does debian use apt-get install? And can I just choose to install the debian console? (No gui?) Thanks for any help. -- Daniel Dalton http://members.iinet.net.au/~ddalton/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
