Very sad. I've written several version of a program that would display the Mandelbrot Set. You can zoom into the complexities forever. Even more complex is that you can consider that the regular mandelbrot set is but a flat slice of infinetely larger multi-dimensional object for which you could just as easily zoom in or out by adjusting the level of the 'plane' that is being 'intersected' as to normally just adjusting the area size.
