Here again, Dee, are the books I read recently. If you are on Facebook, friend me, and go to my Info page for an expanded list of books and authors (and of course, anything by David Brin!~) If you like short stories, read the Best of the Year anthologies. Also Terry Bisson's "Bears Discover Fire" is great. You can't go wrong with the Hugo and Nebula nominees. My favorite sub genres include Hi tech, near future, cutting edge hard SF, space opera, cyberpunk, steampunk, alternative history, historical fiction, and urban fantasy. I just finished Alistair Reynold's "Terminal World" which is a mix of space opera and steam punk. Have fun!~) "The Year of the Flood" Margaret Atwood "Flood" & "Ark" Stephen Baxter "House of Suns" & "Terminal World" Alistair Reynolds "Climate of Change" Piers Anthony "The Secret Eleanor" Cecelia Holland "Lion's blood" Steven Barnes "Julian Comstock" Robert Charles Wilson "The Windup Girl" Paolo Bacigalup "Makers" Cory Doctorow "Blackout" Connie Willis "The City and the City" China Mieville "One Second After" William R.Forstchen "On the Oceans of Eternity" & "Sword of the Lady" SM Stirling "Fidel's Last Days" Roland Merullo "In the Courts of the Sun" Brian D'Amato "This is Not a Game" Walter Jon Williams" "The Truth Machine" & "The First Immortal" James Halperin _______________________________________________ http://box535.bluehost.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l_mccmedia.com
