The folks at the party had been ConCom for LoneStarCon 2 in 1997.
And I don't remember which WorldCon it was that this cookout was after --
it was at least 2 years later. So 1999 or later. Maybe it was 2002, I
know my mom was visiting in the right timeframe in 2002.
