darn, i didn't see it in the program changes, else i would have gone to the
panel.
i did see dr. brin speeding by with his family in tow; probably rushing off to
a reading.
it was a good con with the usual glitches in communication, etc. the
masquerade was okay. some good panels with willis, silverberg, resnick, et al.
the guest of honor is someone i have never read. i had already met the ghost
of honor when he was in the living.
i missed some good panels because they were scheduled on competing tracks, or i
didn't want to commute between the sheraton and the convention center. that
always irritates me, but what can you do?
i am at my local library right now and just gave them the hugo list. they are
already ordering "The Yiddish Policemen's Union" by Michael Chabon, and other
nominees they don't already have in stock.
i tried to meet up with other brinlisters, but evidently no one saw my note in
the daily newszine.
