Yes, and so are Joules. Energy should be measured in Joules,
not in kWh.

Why not? Keep units unconsistent, and the public will not notice
how much they are overpaying for the same thing. The Evil Capitalists
do it all the time here: products that were sold in packages of
200 g, suddenly drop to 180 g, then 160 g, then 140 g, while keeping
the same _volume_ and the same price.

When I become the Evil Overlord, one of my first 300 or so measures
will be to impose fixed sizes for everything, with the punishment
of organ removal for those that don't comply (of couse, using 
Imperial units will be punishable with the removal of _both_
kidneys).
