Viewed it at 9:10 PM in Rocklin, CA, about 90 miles North of Nick's
vantage point. The station and shuttle were less than a hand's-breadth
apart. In several years of satellite viewing, including many failed
intentional attempts to see a so-called "Iridium Flare" (and one
accidental success while taking a walk with Ryan), these two brilliant
objects in tandem were the most interesting. It was fun to introduce
my friends in Rocklin to the thrills of satellite-viewing.

In fact, I'm about to set up a ladder to go up on the roof for
another viewing tonight.
